The release of iOS 7 brought a completely re-designed UI to Apple devices. It was based on flat designs. Though it was unliked by many in its initial phases, many companies adopted this method later on. And slowly, it became a trend!
Though it was hard to get used to this new design, but it then made sense why Apple made this move. But if you are like a few people like me that still miss that old design, then yes! there exists a jailbreak tweak to bring that design back.
Introducing ClassFolders 2
ClassFolders brings iOS 6folder style to iOS 10. Just in case you don’t remember, it opens with a dark background and shows apps in the folders in a tray. It also customizes folder icon to look like the one in iOS 6.
Apart from iOS 6 folder style, ClassFolders 2 also offers following features:
- Maverick, and
- iOS 4 style.
Basically, all these styles modify folder icons and its background.
Once you install this tweak, it adds a configuration panel in the Settings. You will have options like:
- Enable/Disable this tweak,
- Choose a folder style from the given styles,
- Blur the background when a folder is open,
- Apply a dark tint to the folder background,
- Change the folder icon to classic, along with the background.
ClassFolders has been developed by CoolStar and Jeremy Goulet. CoolStar is well known for building tools that bring back the older iOS 6 styles to iOS 10.
Where can you find this?
ClassFolders 2 is available in the BigBoss repository on Cydia.
