iOS 11 has come up with a lot of amazing features and improvements. They range from redesigned Control Center to a native screen recorder. Though there are some really cool features, they have been available to jailbreak users for a long time.
Let’s check out all such pre-existing jailbreak features:
1. Screen Recording (Tweak: CCRecord)
Screen Recording is one of the most-requested features by Apple users. Though it was available to jailbreak users but Apple has finally added this feature in the form of a native screen recorder. You can access this native screen recorder via redesigned control center.
2. Customized Control Center (Tweak: FlipControlCenter)
Making changes in the Control Center is a very common thing with jailbreak users. With iOS 11, Apple has made the control center even more interactive.
3. Move Multiple Apps at Once (Tweak: MultiIconMover+)
So far, one of the most frustrating things about Apple devices has been their ability to move only one app at a time. iOS 11 solves this problem by allowing you to move multiple apps at a single time.
With the help of MultiIconMover+ tweak, you can also move in multiple apps from a folder or move them out from it.
4. Smart Invert (Tweak: Eclipse)
iOS 11 adds a feature called Smart Invert. It kind of works like Dark Mode. This feature is generally available in the form of a tweak known as Eclipse.
Pro tip: Smart Invert does not work quite well with apps such as Instagram.
5. More Icons on App Dock (Tweak: Harbor)
Inspired by tweak Harbor, you can now add more apps on the App Dock.
6. One Handed Keyboard (Tweak: OneHanded)
Since new & upcoming iPhones have larger display, it is difficult to type on them by one hand. So, inspired by a tweak called OneHanded, Apple has introduced one-handed keyboard where keys shift a little bit left.
7. View Animated GIFs in Apps (Tweak: GIFViewer)
Finally, iOS 11 adds support for playing animated GIFs in the Photos app itself. Those who do not know, it was earlier possible on jailbreak phones by a tweak called GIFViewer.
8. QR Code Scanning (Tweak: NativeQR)
One of the most essential feature that iOS lacked was a QR Scanner. So, with iOS 11, you do not need any third-party app. With the built-in Camera app, you can easily scan QR codes.
9. Volume Control Made Simple (Tweak: Sonus)
With the introduction of iOS 11, the volume control HUD is made quite smaller so that it is easier for you to watch full screen videos.
10. File Manager (Tweak: iFile, Filza)
iOS 11 introduces a new app called Files which servers as a file manager app. Though it is not as good as Filza or iFile as it does not provide complete access to system files.
So, this was a few features that we think Apple has copied from available jailbreak tweaks and apps. What are your views on this? Is there something that we have missed? We would love to hear from you.
